Clicking on each of the names below you will have a quick summary of the most reknowned excursions on horse that we propose at Castello S.Cristina ,this is just a selection and there are more of them that are ready for you at the castle to explore with your guide \instructor.The lenghth of each ride varies and they range from 10 to 40 km ,they mostly cross the landscape of Tuscany, Latium and Umbria following the old trails once used by travellers of all kind to go from Rome to Siena and Florence.Often during our wandering around the beautiful Tuscan countryside we use an old track that was running parallel to the border between the ancient Vatican State (once the Popes kingdom) and what used to be the Dukedom of Tuscany (a satellite state of the Austrian Empire).That track has been named the Brigands path due to the fact that often outlaws and smugglers used it to do their illecit business, escaping from the law.
